He might have been used in this situation by the New Abwehr operatives to create a false lead based on his name and history; while the real culprits were the operatives themselves, one of them dressed like Usman, to create the confusion. Peoples' recollections of the events are always influenced by the emotional turmoil at the time of the accidents, and their memories are always spotty. The real Usman Khan might have been killed himself by these operatives. Attention, our most esteemed British colleagues: this episode deserves the most thorough investigation, in the light of the described above possibility and the information in the previous posts. The deliberately designed deceptions, performed by the skillful hands, are difficult to unravel, with all due respect to the usual British thoroughness and accuracy.
