To me, this whole affair smells strongly as being political and the retaliation on the part of Trump: to teach Rossello a lesson for his opposition and harsh words.

M.N.: These charges and the legal issues involved have to be examined very carefully by the lawyers, and they have to be handled legally (I do not see anything particularly tragic in them at the first glance), the charges of wire fraud are known to be very broad and non-specific.
