Giuliani, who is President Trump's lead personal lawyer liaising with Mueller's office amid the ongoing probe, made the comments after Fox News' Sean Hannity on Wednesday mocked a CNN report last month saying witches were upset by the rhetoric.

Practicing witches shouldn't resent being referenced in political attacks on special counsel Robert Mueller's federal Russia investigation, according to Rudy Giuliani.
"According to CNN witches favor Democrats and they are offended that the (sic) Meuller investigation is described as a Witch Hunt. There is no reason for the witches to be offended because Witch Hunt derives from,for example,the Salem Witch Hunts where people were executed unjustly," Giuliani tweeted Wednesday.
Giuliani, who is President Trump's lead personal lawyer liaising with Mueller's office amid the ongoing probe, made the comments after Fox News' Sean Hannity on Wednesday mocked a CNN report last month saying witches were upset by the rhetoric.
Trump, Giuliani, and a host of administration supporters have used the phrase "witch hunt" to discredit Mueller and his team as they look into Russian interference in the 2016 election, whether the Trump campaign colluded with Moscow, and whether the president obstructed justice.
CNN's report was based on a Daily Beast article published Dec. 17, in which journalist Will Sommer spoke to members of the witch community about their feelings regarding the language.
“To have him compare his situation to the worst period in our history is just infuriating,” witchcraft author Kitty Randall told the outlet.
“If Mueller’s investigation were truly a ‘witch hunt,’ then Donald Trump would be hanging naked from chains in a cold barn somewhere, being tortured into admitting his pact with Satan, before being burned at the stake,” she said. “Instead he’s golfing at Mar-a-Lago.”
Trump's last visit to his Florida resort was over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The president did not go for Christmas as planned, electing instead to remain in the capital because of the partial federal government shutdown.
